(1) Decarbonization (reduce service life) - 1. Use salt bath furnace or column atmosphere furnace for heating. 2. Fast heating process is adopted.

(2) After quenching, the hardness is not enough, the amount of non martensite is more, and ferrite appears in the center (producing total residual deformation, reducing service life). 1. Select the material with good hardenability. 2. Improve the cooling capacity of quenching coolant. 3. The temperature of the spring entering the coolant should be controlled above Ar3. 4. Increase the quenching temperature appropriately.

(3) Overheating (brittleness increase) - 1. Strictly control the heating temperature of forming and quenching. 2. Strengthen metallographic examination during quenching.

(4) Cracking (brittleness increase, seriously reduce service life) - 1. Control quenching heating temperature. 2. When it is cooled to 250-300c during quenching, take it out for air cooling. 3. Tempering in time.
